The Story Behind Reeves Inspired

I had been toying with the idea of starting a little online store for a while: something fun, a creative outlet, a place to play with ideas and maybe even sell a few of them. But like most “maybe someday” ideas, it sat there, tucked behind other tabs in my brain and buried under the everyday chaos of work, parenting, and to-do lists.

Then came the zebra.

While waiting to be seated at a restaurant, I started texting back and forth with my sister-in-law about this wild local news story involving a runaway zebra. That quickly turned into a joke about organizing a 5k in its honor… which turned into shirt designs… which turned into us getting so excited I could barely finish the meal. 

And somewhere between the appetizers and the group chat spiral, I realized I already had a Shopify free trial open. I already had a domain. Why not make this into something?

So I did.

Reeves Inspired was born right there between a dinner table and a group text thread.

It’s not a full-time gig. It’s a hobby, a joyful pause between day jobs and adulting. A digital corner where I can collaborate with creative friends and family. A space for things that make us laugh, or think, or say “yep, that moment deserves a t-shirt.”

Because life hands us so many little moments that deserve something tangible.
A shirt. A mug. A print. A laugh. A memory.

So here we are.
